Ross Evans | Clinical Psychologist

Ross Evans is a registered Clinical Psychologist and endorsed supervisor with over 15 years clinical experience. He completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology at Victoria University in 2004 and a Master of Psychology (Clinical) at the University of Melbourne in 2007.

Ross has specialist interest in working with young adults, and people presenting with anxiety disorders and workplace issues. He also has significant interest and experience working with asylum seekers and refugees. Ross is currently working only part time with private clients. Spending most of his working hours employed as an internal psychologist with Fire Rescue Victoria.

Previously he has worked as a contractor to the Australian Defence Force, various Employee Assistance Program (EAP) organisations, with contracted Health Services for Australian immigration and refugees both domestic and abroad, and with public health services in Australia including as a senior clinician and clinical manager. He has worked with individuals and couples from varied backgrounds on a wide range of presenting problems, from common issues to more complex and long standing concerns.

Ross has run training workshops in psychological and psychiatric assessment and diagnosis, along with approaches to treatment and therapy. He has extensive experience in the provision of supervision for psychologists and allied health professionals.

When it comes to his therapeutic background, Ross approaches treatment in a practical, collaborative, and transparent way. Ross is trained and has extensive experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Schema Therapy. He believes strongly in using a collaborative and transparent approach with clients to ensure they are comfortable, finding therapy helpful, and can sustain gains made after therapy has finished.
